Hey guys I have a question. I was wondering if a r150f could be run in 4hi all the time on the street? Would it create any kinda of binding issues(cause there is no center diff to slip)? By the way this will not be used in a truck. Thanks for your time and any info would be greatly aprreciated.

4hi = binding on dry pavement. Especially if you're turning.

well if your front hubs are unlocked, then it wouldnt do anything.. but lock them and you'll be binding like crazy when turning.

hold on... the R150f is a TRANNY... unless he has the x-fer case attached, he CANT run 4-hi... and even if he did retain the chain driven x-fer case that came behind the R150, he wouldnt have ANY problems with binding if he has at LEAST one of the hubs unlocked... open diffs + 1 hub locked=2WD...

lol I think this is kind of funny. You plan to use the transmission. You will not be using the transfer case. You need a transmission from a 2wd truck. That is unless you plan on making a mess of life and trying to reinvent the wheel making that car 4wd, but you would be in poor shape really quickly using a part-time transfer case for that. Not to mention you would add a lot of unneeded weight.

You could separate the transfer case and transmission though the output shaft is probably a different length than the 2wd transmission and even if it is not you would still need the output shaft housing, and components for the speedometer cable.
