I think you're referring to the ubiquitos MV-50 compressor threads.

I have that one as a backup to my Powertank should it ever run dry.
Bought is via Amazon I believe. There is a thread about it here somewhere. Found it http://www.yotatech.com/f153/q-indus...ressor-130486/

That's the one guys thanks! I think I have enough room to mount it in the engine compartment so it doesn't clutter up the limited cargo area.

Harbor Freight has a cheap one like that too. I can't vouch for it though as I never got around to getting one. I planned on it but I accidentally bought a Viair 380c.
![]() It would be nice to have one as a backup though...

If you don't mind me asking..... what did you pay for it? How often do you use it and how well does it work? I don't mind dropping good money on good products but am unsure how much I really want to spend on something that I may only use 10 times a year.

Another option: http://www.yotatech.com/f116/22re-yo...mplete-155162/
![]() Total price for the whole OBA system (tank, lines, valves and compressor) was $300, which is about $50 less than a OBA system using a electric pump. It will inflate tires much faster. Electrics pump tires brutally slow.

The new ARB compressor CKMA12 is nice too. It is literally twice as fast as the old one I had (same one featured in the Parks Offroad writeup)

I bought a MF1040 off of ebay - it works well. Not as good as the 1050, but for $30 Cnd I cannot complain. Also I'm going to be running 2x2.5 gallon tanks from my old compressor for my OBA system.

![]() Btw, I opted not to use the 3/8" tubing they sent and used this nice, bright green 1/2" tubing instead. That's why it looks kind of ghetto. I wanted optimum flow for the horn.

Currently Budbuilt has the bracket for attaching a York allong side the factory A/C on hold pending some adjustments. If it comes out soon I'll look deeper into the York conversion.

I had a york on my 72' FJ - I'd squeeze one under my hood if I could in a heartbeat. Currently I have the harbor freight pos - Its like going from a 50 inch plasma HD back to a 13 inch black and white with turn the channel knobs and rabbit ears with tin foil....
Why did I sell my FJ's?

just wondering, and since it kinda on subject, how hard do you guys think that it would be to convert your factory toyota A/C into a compressor? i mean, if you can do it with a york, i imagine that the toyota would work too...
and i only ask because my a/c system costs too much to recharge, and i havent had it for 2 years, so i dont need it now...
