Post noobie snorkel question

im about to order one when i look at a pic of one on a 2nd gen 4Runner and i think, you know what, it looks like it would rub against my Sun Visor!!!! does anyone know if that is a possibility? or is it a safe distance away from the sun visor?

I have seen the Safari snorkel on many rigs with your body style.
Strap22 recently sold his 2nd gen 4Runner, same body style as yours, and he had a snorkel on it.

If anything lengthen the snorkel, you don't want it lower then your roof.
Uses of a snorkel are to get you air when driving in the desert that is mostly free of debris (can't find the pic to what I mean by this), 2 is to provide you air when the cars hood becomes submerged, I mean granted your not submerging it all the way to the roof but if you happen to get at an angle where thats the highest side you want it to be up high, and 3 its suppose to be sort of a force induction for high speed driving cause of the way the snorkel head angle takes air moving straight and forces it around a turn and down the tube.

How about just cutting a bit away at the sun visor so they sit flush against each other. that way the snorkel is still at the hight it should be.
And it would probably cosmetically look best.

Not a problem, should be simple and should look good. I plan on putting a snorkel on my 97 as well as have the visor with the running lights built in so.

i'm thinking the same thing, getting some small hella's or piaa's and getting the guys here to either mold it into the valance or the visor.
