Fuel Filter Replacement, 1st Gen, 2.4L

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone... After searching and not finding a writeup on this, I figured I better start asking before I end up taking my whole d@mn motor out to just change the fuel filter...

All I can see is the one bolt \ line going into the filter that's pointing to the back of the Runner. I can't even see and I'm sure I can't reach any thing else to get the filter out. What do I have to remove to reach this thing!

Anyone know of a relocation kit for this???

Thanks in advance...

Heres a picture of my fuel filter on my 22re ( 90 ) but I `m guessing there all at the same spot. I changed it while doing my timing chain so I`m not sure what the procedure is when everything is still there.

Hope it helps.

It's been a long time, but I think I was able to reach mine through the wheel well. It's a pain in the ass to get to.

ours are a little easier on the 3.0 since they're on the frame rail.

Got it done, Thanks!

Thanks to the first two guys who replied I got it done. With the picture that was posted, I knew what I was looking for, and where the bolts were. The hint is to go in from the wheel well. I got a few pics so I'll do a write up on it and get it posted. Once I found out HOW to get to it, it was pretty easy.

Thanks Everyone!!!
(and I think it took care of my sluggish problem when I'm in 1st. and 2nd. gear...) Poured in a bottle of fuel injector cleaner after the filter change to see if that will help also...
