a real weber will have these markings (mine is from webercarbsdirect.com cheapest kit online.)

If you see Solex or EMPI anywhere on the carb it is not a real Weber. Also stay away from the 34/34 as it is either a solex or interco carb as well.

Sweet thank you very much. I ordered my 32/36 from weber carbs direct and need some smaller primary idle jets. So I bought 2 from lc engineering when they arrived they were alot fatter then mine. I called lc to ask them about this because my primary and secondary idle jets are the same styles, and they asked who I bought it from, and told me I had a fake solex because I didn't buy from them. They told me all webers take the fat style jet as a primary idle jet. I did some research today and found only a 32/36 with a cutoff selonoid will have the fat primary idle jet. All others will have the same style jet as the secondary. Lc doesn't seem to know this and may loose my future business.

^^

that's the cleanest Weber I've EVER seen

another give away on a lot of fake ones that I've seen is the fuel inlet. They should be angled down like the one pictured above, and a lot of fake ones I've seen have the inlet's facing directly to the side

I had a 32/36 once... on a modified Isuzu motor

I think I rebuilt that carb like 4 times in the coarse of a year...

the cut-off solenoid i had had the jet holder and was not a part of my kit.

I took the jet out of the original holder and put it into the solenoid and screwed the solenoid into the original hole and discarded the old jet holder.

I have yet to re-jet mine, but I need a larger one ad my idle mix screw is out more than 2 turns.

I don't think you understood me right, I used the same jet that came with the carb when I added the solenoid. I did not have to get different jets to run the solendoid, nor did I have to use the solenoid to begin with but glad I did, because mine deisels every now and them because the wire connector on the sol. broke on me and I had to hack off the plunger to keep the fuel flowing to the carb. Stupid me lost the original jet holder.

Oh ok I see what your saying what did your jet look like? Same as the secondary or was it the fat style one from what I can see it called large style or fat style. Here isthe link of the jet I have http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pro...p?Product=1587
It talks about the fatter style also

as far as I know the primary idle jets are different between the DGEV/DGAV and the DGV. does not matter of the solenoid.

Jet kit 701 DGV4 for the DGEV/DGAV (water/electric choke)

Jet Kit 701 DFV for the DGV (manual choke)

Hmm well if you look at that links it talks about the differance of jets between the models with seonoids and I think I see my confusion it talks about idle Seonoids I missed that I'm on my phone

Note that some 32/36 DGAV carburetors and DGV with idle solenoid used this small size jet only on the secondary side. The primary side may be fitted with the larger Weber DGAV Primary Idle Jet, Part No. 74409.

I can't remember what mine looked like off hand, I wanna say it was the smaller one, I haven't taken the jet out of the main jet though only the idle jet so I have nothing to compare it to.

it looks like the solenoid does not fit the DGV manual choke carb.

look here (notice sol.): http://www.webercarbsdirect.com/32_3...Parts_s/50.htm

and

Look here (notice no sol.): http://www.webercarbsdirect.com/32_3...Parts_s/49.htm

then look here (different jet kit for the DGV): http://www.alamomotorsports.com/weber/jet_kits.html

I think LCE sent you the DGV jets and not the DGEV/DGAV jets

and their website I think is wrong too, to my knowledge there is no such thing as a 32/36 DGAS only a 38 DGAS.

I believe I have a dgv it's a manual choke and no solenoids and from what I am getting from that Pegasus web site it should take the skinny idle jets. So I guess lc is just blowing smoke they told me all webers take the fat ones

You have a manual choke? if so yes then its a straight DGV. I am gonna do some digging and see what part numbers are in that DGV kit.

Oh it's ok I know what style primary idle jet I need now and I have found out that there are two differnt ones just kinda pisses me off lc's site is wrong and there tech didn't seem to know much about webers and he even told me there is no way to tell a fake and it must be because I didn't buy it from them. Thank you very much for the info though and I know am positive I have a real one

http://www.racetep.com/weber/32_36DGAVEV.pdf

http://www.racetep.com/weber/32_36DGV.pdf

funny thing with these is it shows the same jets shipped factory as well as the same jet holders.

74409 Primary Main Jet
74409 Secondary Main jet

73801 primary idle jet
73801 secondary idle jet

but shows two different idle solenoids.

43914.060 for the DGEV/DGAV

53905.000 for the DGV

why two different sol's when they have the same jets? Now I am getting confused haha.

I will keep on this though. Time for bed, my head hurts now. hahaha.
