deleted balance shafts?

i want to know if this would work on my '94 v6 3.0 dlx. i heard that it is a significant gain in hp but will it turn out to be a good modification in the long run?

never tried this, but would imagine the engine would run rougher which could be a bad thing for longevity imho

I could be mistaken, and DeathCougar can answer this better than I, but I don't believe the 3.0 has balance shafts.

mustyoubeatme eclipses and what not the 4g63 motors had them i removed it from there had a ok but shaky idle and was clean up to 7k rpms yes it hit 7k had a lot of work done to it but it didnt last long good for doing it on a drag motor but thats it

I'm aware of NO balance shafts on the 3VZE; I had mine tore all apart & have studied the FSM extensively...

A V6 is a naturally balanced motor and therefore does not need or utilize balance shafts. I4 motors are not naturally balanced so some come with balance shafts, but not all. Even Toyota differs on this, the 3rz 2.7 had balance shafts while the 2rz 2.4 did not.

Actually, an I6 is a naturally balanced motor, and a 90* V8 can be balanced with proper weight on the crank, but a V6 is not. It's close though, which is why you can get away without a balance shaft.
