After replacing the clutch with a HD clutch, i must completely depress the clutch pedal to change gears, and as soon as i barely release the clutch pedal, it engages(disengages?) and moves the vehicle. i've bled the system plenty. there are no leaks that i can see. the master and slave cylinders are fairly new but they were replaced some time before the new clutch. the rod is adjusted as far as possible.

if the U clip ont he rod is threaded out ALL the way and you're still having to press to the floor probably is what Sam said or the rubber flex line near the Clutch Slave Cylinder is bulging and may need replacing (tho this is a RARE occurence)

I have a Luk heavy duty clutch and it is 'pretty easy' to depress. I can feather the clutch just like a stock clutch.

I have the master cylinder push rod at full tension, i.e. there is no pedal travel before I feel the clutch hydraulic pressure. Don't worry much about 'too tight' an adjustment as the pressure necessary to engage the throwout bearing to the pressure plate is beyond a slightly tight adjustment at the pedal.

It is also possible to give yourself more pedal travel by adjusting the clutch pedal stop. You should be able to adjust your clutch pedal so that you can feather the clutch just like any other vehicles clutch, or there may be another problem.

Replaced my transmission and clutch over the hoildays. Installed a new Lux clutch. Couldn't start in gear the clutch was engaged with the petal depressed to the floor. . Adjusted the u clip on the pedal all the way out. It works fine now. I am pretty sure this will correct the problem you are having.

the clutch hose (looks like a brake hose) is loose from the bracket and moves around. it is currently leaking fluid from the top portion where the rubber and the metal are.
now my truck will not go into gear at all as of now.
i am extremely angry and have a short temper so i kinda started thrashing the shifter around because it would not go into any gear. i would pump the clutch pedal in a fury and finally force it only into 2nd gear to make it home.
i really don't mean to hurt my truck and i do love it very much, but it just makes me so angry sometimes

The clutch bracket is inside the truck, tack welded to the floor / firewall. You also need to repair the leak, even if the bracket is ok.

(meaning, before i got the hose replaced by an ASE certified mechanic. i just realized there are no clips on it today)

Yeah, there's a big crack on a metal plate tack welded to the firewall above and behind the clutch pedal. There also seems to be a spring missing. not the longer spring higher above, that one is still there, but there's a different shorter one that isn't there.
How can i fix that break in that metal plate thing?
Does anyone know what spring i'm talking about?
