buy a bull bar, the brush guards are useless.

Throaty and 4 cyl don't really go together. You can get the flow master, but it will sound more like a dirtbike, or honda tuner crap than a good throaty sound. The V-6's sound a bit better, but the 4's just don't.

Nonesense. I currently run 2.5" straight pipes (no cat) to a magnaflow and it sounds pretty throaty. Had 3" straight pipes on there at one point, and it was even louder and throatier, but I liked the looks of a 2.5" pipe better. Bet it'll sound even better once I slap a header on there.

my 85 had the factory one and it was awesome, worked good through two accidents, look at ebay, there is a store that has them. i personally like the arb and most plate bumpers on these trucks.

go with a flowmaster in place of the stock and take off the tail pipe.

I got a grill guard like that one on ebay for sale as well. I'm having a custom bumper made for me. I'll sell it for cheap like 100-150 +shipping. I also will have more parts as well. I will be posting them on the site in about 2 weeks be my guess. Also I have a superlift skid plate for sale too. I'll dump for cheap as well. Just PM me if your interested. Check out this thread for pics.

I would get a flowmaster just because they are built like a skid plate. Factory mufflers are crap. A 40 series is all I've ever used on my old Bronco II, Jeep Cherokee, and Toyota Pickup. The Toyota sounds decent w/ my 2.25 pipe. But if you want something Bad a$$ sounding punch out your cat and use a turndown outa the flow instead of a tailpipe. That what I had on my bronco and I had set a car alarms off with it.
