brake and battery light on
Hi guys my battery and brake light are coming on intermittently and I cant figure out why. There is no rhyme or reason to it sometimes its when I signal and sometimes it just comes on. They both come on together and I have found no reason why is this a sign of something going bad? I have never heard of this before both of them coming on together.
I have checked the sensors and voltages and all are good no apparent bad wires or open circuits also nothing I can find in my manual

I was thinking alternator but it is putting out good voltage around 15v. I think I have something shorting to ground somewhere. It is very weird because I dont notice the typical signs like dimming lights and I have the sylvania silverstars so I would be able to tell. im going to go through and just start ohm'ing(is that a word?) and testing everything. The $20 for a multimeter is well worth it. Thanks for the help. keep it coming

have you tried adding brake fluid for the brake light? The master cylinder could be low, but as for the battery the alternator or a short would be my guess.

brake fluid level is fine it turned out the ground wire was loose one the alternator kinda weird. So anyway I go to tighten the nut down on it and it broke off. Apparently it arced pretty bad and basically welded the nut to the ground post. fortunately there was enough left over to use but it is fine now. heres a pic of the nut.
