87 4runner sliding window replacement
87 4runner passenger side forward sliding window was broken into, I found a replacement window but cannot figure out how to get it replaced. The salvage yard used a pair of channel locks to bend the lip around the window up so I didn't get any hints from them. Someone must have been here before, thanks for the help ............

Thanks, that info helps a lot, will tackle it Monday,
suppose to be a day without rain. It should not be
to bad once I get the whole window assembly out.
Looks like once the interior trim is off around the
window I can run a putty knife around to cut the
glue and remove the whole window.....
thanks again ........

Heat Gun
I've been here...a heat gun (a regular hair dryer will not work) helps immensely. The glue will soften right up for you. The first window took me 2 hrs but I learned. Disassemble as above but before you cut w/ the knife use your heat gun and run the frame perimeter for about 15 minutes. Putty knife slips right in and before you know it the window pushes out nicely. I was able to clean the old glue right up with the help of some goo gone for a nice clean install after. Good luck!!!

The instructions
Those illustrations are from the original service manual from Toyota.
Very comprehensive but quite technical far as I know it is only missing one piece
of info and that is on changing the rear axle bearings.
