I am trying to find out how many "bosses" my v6 3.0L 4runner has.

my water pump went out and when it was in the shop to get replaced. it was discovered that the cooling system was clogged with rust. it was like mud coming out. i am looking at just doing a whole power plant swap and i am looking at toyota v6 long blocks on napa. 2 showed up and the only difference was this talk about "bosses" one had 4 and the other had 6. i have a link here as well: http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...33A_0455258015

what does this mean?

how can i find out what my current one has?

does it really make a difference?

your help would be much appreciated since this is my daily as well. luckily i am home from work and don't have much going on since my ship is on deployment.
but i have a lot of attachment to my 4runner. so does my wife.
