22r engine rebuild question

Im rebuilding a late 22r block for my 86 pickup. Im wondering if all the torque specs in the 1985 fsm are the same for the engine. I think they are but I know there were some slight differences between the pre 85 and post 85 engines.

I used the 85 fsm for my 87. However some specs I modified due to recommendations.

:lol

I used my 86 FSM for rebuilding my 94 RE

Of course I spent WAY TOO MUCH time reading threads and downloading numbers from in here to say strictly I only used the FSM

I think the water pump had the largest amount of need more detail.....

Different sized bolts, different lengths some needed RTV some needed lock tight WTF

Using an old box, attach a printed a pic and insert the bolts into the pic adding red circles for the RTV ones, Yellow circles for the lock tight ones and torq speck next to all.... it was the easy way for my little head

Best of luck

lol I did a water pump on my brothers 22r one time just siliconed the crap out of it. When he bought a new engine were striping it down so I could rebuild it. All the water pump bolts were loose we were like wtf how is it not leaking? The silicone had sealed and secured it lol. it took him pulling the engine and me pulling on the water pump to get it off lol.

Careful w/ that RTV this is what I found when I was rebuilding mine

Some of that stuff had to have restricted flow and even wound up in places it should not have been, just a thin coating
