knocking rod Questions

replace whatever is making it knock.... most likely, the rod is bent, or the bearing is shot, it could also be a wristpin......
sometimes, horrible timing can also sound lik a rod knock

The 85 is easy to drop the oil pan and check/change the rod bearing.
But the knock from our 22RE was from drinking too much water at the local mud pit (bent # 4 rod)
It ran about 1 week more before the rod blew out both sides of the block.
