coolant hose identification for 1985 22R, carburator
Hey folks,
I had a coolant hose blow yesterday. Located on the passenger side, it seems to be attached to the bottom of the carb and then runs forward over the oil filter and attaches onto a metal pipe that is coming out of the water pump.
I live 60 miles from the nearest auto parts store, so it would be good to know which hose it is before going.
Thanks,
K

take the hose out and take it to the store match it up there. There is no coolant hoses attached to the carb. Not on an 85 22r anyway. So I cannot identify it for you especially without a photo. My best guess is one of the hoses for the heater system.

Thanks xxx.
The hose is about 1/2 inch inner diameter and hooks up to what appears to be a metal pipe out of the water pump. I just replaced the coolant, so I was wondering if you knew if I would lose coolant when removing this hose. I live 60 miles from the nearest parts store, so I was hoping to get the right hose, return with it, and replace right away to lose the least amount of coolant. The hose appears to be about 8 or 9 inches long, and attaches to something (intake manifold) just below the carb.
Thanks again for the help and any further comments would be appreciated as well.
Best,
K

Is it the same as this one? Mine is EFI, but sounds like the same type hose you are describing. If it is the same, I listed the part numbers for the different years in the post.
