Ok the reason I ask is......I found 2 85 pickups (4wd) for $800 for the pair. One has a bad motor (overheated) and the other has been wrecked but has a good, running motor. As far as I can tell this is a good deal. I will end up with a front axle for my 89 out of the wrecked one and I will also have a 85 running and driving I can either sell or hang on to.. Decent deal??

sounds like a good deal to me, it will take some work, but for $800 to have a running truck and a parts truck it pretty sweet. and the 85s were the first year to have EFI as an option, which is why everybody wants one.

Only in the trucks. 4Runners in 1985 only had EFI!
