85 pickup 22r timing chain out of alignment.

My timing chain tensioner has failed and the chain jumped a couple of teeth. I bought a whole kit with the intention of doing a full timing set replacement. My question is how do I realign the crankshaft pulley and camshaft sprocket. Any answers?

Both the cam and crank sprocket should have a small dimple on them.

The timing chain should have links that are different colors than the others at roughly opposite ends of the chain.

The single off-color link goes over the tooth that aligns with the dimple on the crank sprocket. The two off-color links go on either side of the tooth that aligns with the dimple on the crank sprocket.

Make sense?

This info is readily available in the Haynes manual for these trucks. If my description doesn't make sense, go pick up a Haynes manual - it's good for most things you'll need to do. FSMs are expensive and hard to find for these years but they are the best thing to have if you can find one.
