To start out I have a 1985 toyota 4runner and I plan on doing the 4bt swap. I've read multiple forums but most aren't answering my question. I know this is not a simple build but I have the tools and resources to make it happen. So I'm currently trying to piece it all together and find out what parts I need to get before starting and working from there. So far my list consists of: fj60 axles, 4bt (obviously), NV4500, NP205, along with ifs steering box and 6 shooter knuckles.
Now my question is what leafs would you use on the front end? I will use the 63" in the rear but what would the front use? the regular chevy springs from the 3/4? Also the fj60 axles are about 3/4 ton so from what I hear they should hold the 4bt just have to change out the birds since i plan on running 37s+. Right? I wish i could link it but my wife isn't letting that happen because of the $$ haha.
Also if you know of forums of this build please post link. Since all the posts I read no one actually went through with the build. As I get the parts I will start slowly posting my build on here.

I am wanting to do a similar build with my 94 pickup and have similar questions I'm wanting to go with a 4bt nv4500 and np205 tcase but I'm not sure what axles to run my thought is if I could find a rusted out old dodge 12 valve with the 5 speed and drive line still in decent condition I could take the adaptor plate tranny tcase and axles off that truck and swap them over to my 94 only issue is the width of the axles sticking out past the body. This just seems to be the ticket for me as I could get my whole driveline minus the 4bt in one shot I'm thinking about the trail gear front spring hanger and spring packs and just making my own steering linkages from my ifs steering box. This is my thoughts up to this point let me know what you think
