Which consists of new front and rear springs, and new shocks.

The ride is surprisingly stiffer. You really can't put your coffee cup down anymore. LOL

Someone suggested that the stock shocks are crap and if I upgraded to nitro shocks it would make a difference. But that's not gonna happen right away...

I am thinking that the springs might need half-a-year to mellow a little. My 87 has mellowed in the year after its SAS/lift.....

thanks.so its pretty stif huh.. these factory SFA aint the smoothest ride anyways. reason i ask is i was gonna do the rough country 3in springs rear(since they mount in factory location), and stock RUF, or RUF and 63s. its still up in the air

I don't plan to wheel this one, just DD. My intent was just to get the front tires to quit rubbing on the hard turns. When I get more time, I'll probably throw a set of Chevy 63's on the back, and a set of backs on the front... I'm thinking that should put me in a "split the difference" position, and smooth things out some. Stiff ride isn't a big problem to me.

I wonder what the effect of back-on-front is?

nice, I have the 2nd Generation 4inch Rough Country Lift and it has held tough! The ride was definatly stiff at first but it only takes a few wheelin trips to smooth it out

I have an 85 Pick-up SR5, and I just got the Rough Country 3" kit and before I start tearing my truck apart, I was wondering if I needed to do anything with the stearing and/or the drivesafts. Any info will help.

The driveshafts you can leave alone, and I am almost 100% certain you don't have to do anything to adjust the steering. It will handle differently, and if you plan on adding on the the 3 inch lift later on, a hysteer system will be good.

Pickup and a 4Runner are not setup up identically in the rear end.
