1985 22r Timing chain kit on a 1984 22r
I am almost positive that the chain is a different size from the 84 to 85, but is the rest of the kit intercahngeable?
The back story is that I had purchased this for an 85 pickup I have since sold. I thought it was a bad tchain, but found out #2 cylinder had zero compression. Sourced out a used 22r and sold the truck.
Now, can I use the kit (purchased from engnbldr) on the 84 motor or are there other differences in parts besides the length of the chain? Thought about contacting engnbldr to see if he would exchange it, but would purchase just the chain if need be. Shipping would probably be more than just buying the chain.
