rear shackles

what would be the longest shackle and be safe i dont do crawling or anything just like the lift thanks sorry it an 83

I have 6" ctc 3/8" x1.5" mild steel (home made) doing fine

Do U Remember What Size Bolts You Used Were They 18mm Or Standrd

I used a 7" shackle (bolt hole to bolt hole) on my 82 and DD the truck and it gave me about 2.25-2.5" lift

I run 7" c-c in front and used to run 7" in back, although currently 6":

Bolts are typically 18mm on the early trucks.

like i said im new and one more? will the longer shackles help it flex any better

the longer the shackle the more flex cuz it gives the spring more room to move

unless you have a really flat shackle angle or you are binding your current shackles, no. remember your spring does the flexing, shackles just keep it from binding. unless you are talking about dual shackles or revolvers....
