its basically a tube screwed into the gas tank door, and one into the gas tank, nothing complicate, just crawl under your truck and take a look, it makes it alot easier, if i still had the truck id take pics and show you,

get the SAME SIZE tube, and get some seal all, seal it up real nice at the ends of the tubes,

well im off to bed, ill try to get on in the morning, any questions for me, just post in here, or PM me

well i found out i cant order just the steering extension or the gas tank extension so i am going to buy a new body lift kit cuz it will come with it all its only 140 and then i am prob going to put on 29x9.5 maxxis big horns or maybe super swampers but i am not sure yet cost is a issue there and i might be getting a 1980 toyota 4x4 std cab this winter so that will limit how much i put into my lil truck. BUT either way after i get my 4x4 i am going to finish my 2wd.

from what I have heard, if you decide to put big tires on it, lift it etc. then the 5 speed is useless. I hear the 5th gear drops out after you get to a certain tire size. I have a 4 speed in my 81 and can still run 75 with the stock gearing. It howls a lil bit, but it's not too loud, lol. I try to stay between 65 and 70 though.

Steering shaft extension available below (and all by itself):

For the gas tank filler extension, see if you can find what you need at a good auto parts store:

Just a correction, it is only $35 plus $7 shipping for the recirc. ball extension, that is typically all you need with a 3" body lift.

But yes, if you need all those other parts, then a whole kit may be a good deal.

Most body lift kits do not come with new body mount bushings, they are typically separate, so just be advised to check that out. Folks often confuse the body lift blocks and the body mount bushings, those are two separate things and they have two different purposes.
