Tranny's pulled
So over the weekend, got a replacement transmission from a nice man on pirate, he drove down from olive hurst. He still has some random parts lying around, and a set of half doors too, pm me and I'll get ya hooked up.
So removed the tcases and the tranny connected, if I hadn't left in the tcase shifter during removal everything would have gone flawlessly. Then separated the tranny from cases. Now tearing into cases to find out where the leak is. Ill post pics after work. The leak is pretty high, and I think it's occurring in the seal between the crawl box and the dual adapter. I cleaned up the new tranny was super dirty, but thirty year old parts usually are. The shifter was very hard to remove too, tons of junk in the spring, making it hard to push down to release the shifter; got the girlfriend to help after much and bam! She gets it turned while I'm depressing. Time for a I changed the shifter because I have Marlin's HD shifter seat and lever socket. Which I really like, definitely allowed for a smoother shift on my old crappy tranny, it won't fix a problem but a nice simple DIY upgrade
Hopefully it will be in over the next few days.......I hate not having a garage
