Bad Gas Milege

Bad Gas Milege
I am an 18 year old, who recently bought a 95' 3.0, 140,000 mile 4 wheel drive Toyota pickup. I was getting roughly 250 miles per tank, I decided to change out the plugs and install new wires. I had a problem with one of the plugs- it was frozen and very hard to remove. I didn't like the way the new plug felt going in so I used a thread chaser on it to clean up the threads. The plug went in fine after that. Once I had it all back together, my milage per tank dropped down to about 225 miles and I'm not sure why. The truck runs well. Any ideas what I might check? I have some of experience and my dad can help me out. Thanks

Welcome, were the plugs gapped correctly and are your wires all seated. Did you change your air filter? Try putting some injector cleaner in your tank. may help. By the way, 250 is about normal for the 3.0. How many tanks did you get the 225 with. If you got 225 after several tanks then somewhere there is a problem.
