Tundra Coil-Overs on a Tacoma

Will Tundra coil-overs fit on an 04 Tacoma 4x4? How much lift would they provide? Are there any write ups for this type of swap? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

you must change the top plate spacers in order to run them on a tacoma. i also HIGHLY advise that you run the correct shocks. they will either make-or-break the ride quality and offroad flex. you will find some VERY bad info over on tacoma territory regarding this lift on a tacoma. the people who initially tried it, put the tundra coils on a set of bilstein HD shocks and it rode like CRAP. well DUH. you put stiffer coils on some VERY stiff shocks. it should ride stiff w/ that combo. use the correct shocks, and you'll get good flex, good on-road manners, and a solid setup that won't sag.

the CORRECT package would consist of

Tundra TRD 4WD coils
Tacoma Blue Tokico shock or Tokico Green TrekMaster shocks
Tacoma OEM top plate

that should yeild approx 2" of lift on a Tacoma

if you want 1/2" more, then you can add:

top plate extended studs (from sonoransteel.com or wheelersoffroad.com)
3/8" thick top plate spacer

if you do more than that, you can expect to loose offroad performance (loss of droop) and you can expect to break CV's. i don't recommend any more than 1 spacer per side for anything other than a street queen.

no. you need the top plate extended studs and the top plate spacers if you want the extra 1/2". if you already have the blue tokicos, then you'll need the TRD Tundra Coils to put on them.

then you'll need to do something about the rear leafs....

jjrgr21, you really need to use the search feature. Like we told jeeperman.... use search and read thru some of the posts, each question I have seen you ask has been answered in that thread or is VERY common... a little finger work on your part will solve most of your problems....
