life of an OME shock
#2
i replaced my tacoma shocks at about 100,000 miles. they were fading and i could have probably gotten a bit further, but i was all into the big maintenance routine so i did that too. my guess is that it all depends on the amount (and type) of offroading you do. does your rig bounce more than once? a good shock should basically stop your truck from cycling more than once (up and down). you can check it by jumping on one corner bumper.

ahhhh, i c. arent those OME shocks typical gas charged design? i was refering to my bilstiens (OEM), but they also are gas charged, and i would think have a similar life cycle. still probably comes down to amount and type of use. also the jump test will suffice for any shock.
