question on tires with lift
in about 2 weeks or so im going to start putting my lift on my t100.. its a performance accessories 3 inch body lift.. im plannin on gettin some dick cepek rims later down the road.. but im gonna keep my stock rims.. but i need help on the size tires.. i was thinkin about some 35 inch super swampers tsl radials.. but i want yalls opinion on tires for 15 inch rims.. how big like 35s and how wide should i go? thanks for any help.. give me some other mud type tires that arent too expensive like toyos

i know i can fit 33s stock.. it would rub a good bit though.. but if i got em skinny they would work.. 33s would be a little too small for 3 inch body well for me at least.. what about 34x12.50? im going for that big tire tucked under the fender well thing.. i would like them to stick out a little bit though

If you on a stock rim you cant go wider than 11.50, you could maybe squeese a 12.50 out of them but plan on running on your centers. In theory with the 3" BL you could fit a tire 6" taller, but no wider. If you going wider you cant go at tall. I would think a 35 will have some fitment issues at full turn, and on the trail.

i dont trail my truck much at all.. i try to keep my truck in as good shape as i can cause im taking it to college with me next year.. i go mud riddin a couple times a year, and i take it to my camp to bring my tractors and stuff home, but im not hard core.. im usually pretty gentle with it, since i plan on keeping this truck and getting a duramax my second semester of college.. but would 34s be ok? and what brand of tires would yall suggest?

i wouldnt suggest any more than 33s honestly. look at my truck, thats 3" BL and 3-4" suspension on 33s and i think they fill it out just fine and stick out just fine. if you want it tucked under the well, you WILL rub like mad not even at full turn
edit: however, in the interest of answering your question, someone else can pipe in with something different, but a popular all-around tire is the BFG all terrain

don’t go more than 33, if you want to run with 35's try actually lifting it by a suspension lift, spend the money it is well worth it, I am running 9" of 100% suspension and running 35's, the idea is not to be able to say that you run big tires rather have a big truck that can handle the larger tires. Don’t be like a jeeper and put oversized tires on your rig just to say that you can! Lift the truck more then your 3" body with say another 3" susp. THEN put on 35's. If nothing else your gears will hate you, if you are not going to spend the money to lift it right then you will surely not want to regear it as that is rather costly having put 4.88's in mine twice! Don’t get carried away get 33's

Remeber guys this is a T100, little more room than a runner or taco.....
but he will never get whats in his sig to work with a 3" BL.. 15x18 rims and 35 swampers... good luck with a 4" susp and a 3" BL, thats TOOO wide.. the most you could run is a 10" wide wheel, but even then 8"ers fit better....

i know when i put a 3inch revteck on my friends taco he put 33s and they rubbed a tiny bit.. so i know i could go one inch bigger.. im probably going to just get 33s for now, cause later on when i start work im puttin a 4 inch pro comp or fabteck( i forgot who makes it for my truck) but i plan on puttin this on around the summer time, with some lower gears and 36s or 37s.. my friend with the taco has 3 inch body, revteck 6 inch fabteck and he puttin 37s on 22s with some low gears.. can i say he a idiot?

scratch the 18" thing I see now, I think this needs to come to a halt!! and I quote "mods- 3 inch performance acc body lift, 18 inch dick cepek rims on 35 inch super swampers tsl radials" why are you going to do that to a STREET QUEEN!?!?! you need to find better ways to spend your money than on 18" rims this is a truck not a damn crown vic with chrome dubs... so sell the 18's and dont let your friend buy the 22's thats even worse.

he already bought em.. rediculous- yes.. im most likely not going to get 18s cause of the cost of tires for em.. im thinking either 16 or 17s.. his truck looks good with those 18s he had.. but those 22s dont look too good.. i would buy the rim design he has but just not that big... around natchez everyone with trucks gets 18s or something.. i guess my truck is a street queen most the time, but during the winter its gets down and dirty and stays that way till huntin seasons over, then goes back to street queen.. what kind of rims and size would yall suggest? and what bout bf goodrich mud terrains?

ok you are not getting my point... get 15's they are cheap they are universal, tires are cheap, there is nothing wrong with them, sure you may be the only one with them but tell all your friends the price you paid for everything and they will shut up. secondly all terrains sohuld be fine for your use bc they get great gas milage and last forever, those the mud terrains are another good choice. you have to consider what you will be doing the majority of the time.

true.. i was thinkin of getting 15s.. but i already have 15s.. and i could just get spacers.. and i was gonna put some badass tires like super swampers on the 15s and then some all terrains or bfg m/ts or something on 16s or 17s.. i do alot of riddin down muddy/dirt roads since i live out in the country most the time.. and i do go out of town a good bit.. it really just depends on what i have going on.. i have the premium chrome wheels so they wouldnt look that bad.. they actually look good for stock

You are beyond my help, my final words are stay with 15's if you feel compelled to upgreade get more 15's and all/mud terrains stay away from swampers they are out of your league if it is a genuine concern about getting stuck BFG will get you out it is thier guarantee, however I feel this is not the case, rather an attempt to fit in with the crowd

because you dont wheel on a regular basis it is a waste of money unless you are a regular rock crawler, or technical trial runner or trailer your rig they are a waste. Here are pics of my truck before I added the last 2" these are 35X15.5R15 lift the truck more then get big tires

Because unless you do serious wheeling you wont ever need them and your on road manners will suck with them.
I have been devling deep into lifting my T, thus far the best idea is to choose some kind of IFS lift for the front and get a some longer shackles and a new springpack for the rear-you dont want blocks in the rear!
Check out this guys lift, its done the right way: http://home.4x4wire.com/erik/t100/susplift.htm
