go ahead and go w the 2", that way you wont look back and wish you did. The bumper will cost the same to get raised up no matter whether its 1" or 2". I have a 2" and like it, and was fairly easy to install

Didnt mean to offend by my first post....I plan on running 315's some day (after F + R lockers and new gears) and think at that point I would want the extra 1", but for some 1" is all you need, just depends on what you want to do with it

Did you see this?
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f180/4crawler-1-body-lift-w-1996-mounts-91358/
Has the '96 mounts that you don't need but I think it's still cheaper than new.
Edit: Nevermind -- should have taken the 2 minutes to look up the price before I posted, didn't realize the '96 body mounts added that much to the cost. Sorry for the newbie post!

my 2" was around 150 (including the $10 bumper brackets which wouldnt do much for your TJM) plus shipping, which would probably be the same price as that plus its new

ill be doin some research, my 285s are rubbing rear fender and i will cut pinch weld some but id rather have even more clearance with stuffing and what not.

Agreed that 1" is all you need. I run 285's, TJM, 2.5" lift in front and 3 in back with 1" BL and no rubbing issues at all if I pull the back mud flaps off.
If you want to go larger than 285 at some point then I would do 2".

if I go larger im going wider.. i def cant afford to regear and go with 315s. I have same sus lift as you. Appreciate all the tips. It doesnt rub unless I hit the slightest bump at half wheel turn to left or right. That I can fix with grinding.. however if I flex the front I want to not tear my flares off.

X2 Same setup I have but I still rub on the rear fender flares when at max articulation with the LC coils. I would do 1" again if I were to do it again.

I think im gonna end up getting this new.. but later down the road.. i need to start posting threads about drivetrain cuz I really need to get my front tires working

get the 1.5" BL. best of both worlds
should be enough room for 315's in combination of some BFH pinchweld work and some decent lift. i dont get any rubbing on my flares front or rear w/ 285's. just minor rub on the rear mudguard flap under full stuff.
