Unhappy 4x4 won't engage and speedometer wiggles

I got a 95' 4runner 4x4 and its not engaging. The 4wd light does not come on and the front wheels dont turn when jacked up. However sometime it feels like it engages because the steering get stiff. Also my speedometer wiggle as im driving and when i try to set the cruise then we are all wiggling, "back and forth, rpms up down wont shift to higher gear" i need help cause i dont have enough money to buy a new vehicle.

As for the speedometer search on here for speed sensor, it seems to be a common problem.

I had the same problem with the 4x4 not engaging and the light was not coming on. All it was, was a vacuum line that had come off. It started when I recharged my A/C and the guy must have hit the vac line. When I went under the hood, I could see it disconneted and the 4x4 starting working fine once I re-conected the line.

My speedo works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. Not sure exactly what's up yet. It work more than not so I'm not all that worried about it.
