Hood Lift Feeler

I have made hood lifts for the 95-04 tacomas & 96-02 4runners. These are the same design as the current 4runner hood lift shocks. $100 with shocks hardware & directions.

I will try to get pics up by this weekend. You will have to drill and install 8 inserts for the lift struts to mount to. No cutting or welding required. Looks like a factory option when done.

If you can make the same quality for cheaper than $70 for a Taco then sign me up!

These are basicly the same. Mine do not use self tapping screws that will eventually pull back out of the sheet metal. I use the same style threaded insert that toyota uses. I make these for function and to last. I can do it for $70 with the same hardware they use, but when it starts to fail then I have to answer to alot of upset people. I am not trying to down the other companies product, just stating a fact. Thaks for the reply Tim

Hood lifts are cool!
No more having to use that rod.

I take it the 4Runner one on the new ones is the same as the FJ Cruiser?

I have a set on a tacoma right now and works great. I worked on a new design today to make installation alittle easier.

Just an FYI for you folks, there's a group buy going on for Redline Tuning's hood struts for the Tacos '95.5-present. Just another option for you guys with Tacos.
