i am finishing my yearlong rebuild and want to know if anyone can help me with the belts. i bought them from napa and two of them are almost identical in size. the napa numbers on the belts are 7345 and 7340 and third and bigger belt # is 9440. thanks

 

The biggest is probably the power steering.

 

i'm just curious about the two smaller ones. they are identical by sight and i am being lazy. rather than find out by trial and error, i just thought that i would try the old trusty yotatech.

 

holy crap u aint kidding when u say drawn out rebuild. My dad, bro, and i rebuilt a 22R in about 3 days. But there were 3 of us and i was more or less "in the way."

 

well, this is my first run at this, and i have been doing seven days a week of work and school at first, and now work and work, plus raising two boys and trying to keep a wife happy. i have learned a ton though and now i know exactly what NOT to do as well as some things that make it a whole lot easier. yotatech is the bomb! I can't wait to do my next rebuild on my 85. it will be a ton simpler as well, half the sensors and vacum lines.

 

Good for you man! The only way is through experience. You have to prioritize family over toys.

 

I aint trying to crap on ur parade, it was our first time as well, it was thankgiving day weekend so we had plenty o time. If your two boys are old enough have them help you out a bit. We had a FSM which helped A TON. Anyways keep up the great work man, and good luck with this one and the 85!

 

hey, no worries man, trust me the boys will be turning wrenches as soon as possible, but i am just now getting the oldest to gain my trust cutting the back yard at 10. i have the fsm as well, sometimes i think it does more harm than good, just kiddin'. getting rid of my piece of crud 99 frontier has been my biggest source of inspiration. nissan is *&%#.

 

hahaha nice. I guess it also helps to be mechanically inclined as well. My dad grew up around trucks and has always worked on his own vehicles. He knows soo much about cars in general i only pray that i get to know as much.
