CV Boot clamps, what can I use?

Hello,
I just cleaned, inspected and re lubed my front half shafts and I can't get the old boot clamps back on, at least not all of them... how critcal of a part are they? I.E. would hose clamps work ok? bailing wire? zip ties etc. or do I need to get some replacement CV boot clamps?
thanks

I've been using hose clamps for the past 3-4 years, I like them better than the stock clamps because you can get them tight enough to prevent grease from leaking out of them, especially the inner boot.

You could have also gone to the dealership and gotten some.
