Bi-anual NEWBIE run!
Yuppers, its time again for another one of my newbie runs..
Actually, anybody can come, but this is for those who wanna maybe learn a few things...
Date is july 27 at reiter trails, 9am at the first pit...
Warning, we will be running a couple of tigh trails, so a bump or a bruise is possable.

Suprise!!
One of these times i'm going to suprise you guys by posting something along the lines of, "OK, See you at 9:00 AM!!"
I'm serious! All I need is somewhere to shower and directions to some decent camping or a floor to crash on. Making a trip out to the great Northwest is getting higher and higher on my list of goals for the near future.
I hope you all have a safe and fun time. Try to teach and learn lots from each other. This kind of outing is a great way to initiate new 4x4 owners to the ways of the wilderness, trail ettiquete, saftey... and to make new friends!!

Hey Mike, I might join you guys if nothing else comes up. If I do, for those who don't know the area I'd be willing to meet with them at the McDonald's/Safeway parking lot in Monroe.

Damn, you're right, it has been a long time. Even since I started this job at the U last August it seems I've had no time or energy to get out and play.
Absolutely nothing has happened on the truck either, no swap, no crawler, no nothing. Ok, you convinced me, I'll be there.

I hear ya, i had to train myself to save $$$ and would put it into an envelope and hide it in the shop...
Good thing i didn't have the run this last weekend, a local motorcycle club (strump jumpers) had there anual 24 hour endurance race.

Where are the Reiter trails?
Am thinking of going with you guys on your newbie run, but just where are these trails located? I would be coming from up north, Whidbey Island specifically. Thanks.

Follow highway 2 east, as you are leaving the town of Goldbar watch for a road on your left named Reiter Road, take this road. After a couple miles you'll see a fork where the main rosd turns left and a new road goes straight, go straight. You'll see a large open area on your left after a bit, this is the meeting place.

Ya, I got some pics and there should be more on the Snort board. Haven't had a chance to get mine online yet. I busted out a tail light lense and got a few more bruises on the bed, but no severe carnage on the run. There was also a seperated driveshaft on the sammy, one of the jeeps broke a shackle hanger, and I'm sure there was a few other rigs that got tagged by the trees. We ran the powerlines, tightass, and the wall trails.

Newbie run???
WOW!! If those are newbies driving like that, i'd love to see what happens when a few seasoned wheelers get together. That's some good stuff and awesome rock ready rigs. That cooler mounted liscence plate is kinda cool, does it pass WA inspection like that?
