i was wondering if these lights are worth getting. think they would be brighter then the stock ones?

It is only a housing to convert your sealed beams to an H4 typed bulb. The brightness will depend on the type of bulb you put in the housing. You could definitely put in higher wattage and a wider variety of H4 bulbs in contrast to the sealed beams . Another benefit of the housing is that you can just change the bulbs, rather than having to pull the entire sealed housing out evrytime the lights go out.

 

Hella Vision Plus housings are what you want!

VERY sharp cutoff (almost disconcerting how dark it is above the cutoff!) allows you to run brighter bulbs without blinding oncoming traffic. Very smooth illumination patter, too. If I had the "square" headlights instead of the trapezoidal jobbies, I would be running them.

 

Are those the ones on e-bay? I have a set of them in my yote and man they are bright
I rarely use my hi beams.

 

I can second that as well. The beam pattern is very wide. It is well worth buying something that works than looks. That headlight you pictured probably doesn't address beam pattern as well as it addresses bling. If you are looking for somehing that looks cool then buy it.

im running those on my yota. they are pretty bright, maybe cause im running hyper white xenon bulbs. also i made that blue bulb into a running light so when my clear corners are on those are also on makes the headlight all blue. looks pretty cool

 

Not to jack the thread, but are there replacements for our "trapezoidal jobbies?" im curious if updated housings would help with the light.

 

I just put the IPF H4 conversion lens' in my 92 and they are fantastic. I have also seen the hella's, and personally I like the IPF a bit better. I am still running cheap hella H4 bubls, but plan to upgrade to the PIAA offroad/racing bulb.

In my old '95 runner I put the PIAA bulbs in and that made a huge difference.

 

I run the Hella H4 conversion on my truck. I just recently put them in and the light output is amazing. I am very impressed with where the light shines now on low beam and the 100watt high beam is very pleasant. I got mine from a friend out in Cali and shipped to me. I just upgraded to the hella 55/100 watt bulb when I bought the conversion. I would recommend them over something like your looking at buying. there isn't anything directing the light where to go.
