Question about Power steering cooler

Quick question here
I was thinking about doing a Power steering cooler on my truck; and since my AC went KAput two years ago I was thinking about plumbing the cooler lines into the condenser. BUT the tubing on the condenser look really small so I am afraid that there won't be enough oil flow for the power steering pump.

I also have a Tranny cooler that came off of a 86 ford E-150 sitting on my bench and was thinking about useing that but it's much smaller than the condenser.

I did a search and read through about 30 topics but didn't find the answer I was looking for.

BTW does anyone have the flow rate for my power steering pump. '90 Toy 4x4 DLX 3.0? I want to go cheap on this one I have 35" tires and my pump sure is getting a work out.

Don't have any info on the flow, but the spec pressure for the pump is 1140 psi, so make sure you put the cooler on the return side.

Yeah I know about that. I was just wondering if the AC condenser would work as a steering pump cooler. if had a temp gauge laying around I would try both just for giggles just to see what would work best.

It will probebly work very good if there is enough flow. I would not hesitate to try it.

I dont think the ac condensor will allow enough flow as its basicly designed for a gass not a liquid.

1140psi is perhaps the highside of the pump, but im hopeing he is going to pumb the cooler on the low (return) side!

Well I decided I am ging to use the Ford tranny cooler after all. I looked at some of the tranny coolers we sell at work and the channels are much bigger than the AC condensers. For giggles I am going to call the Factory Air tech support and find out the flow rate of the condenser
I'm going to bend some 1/4 inch brake line and plumb it in nice and neat( LOL return side of course),

I'll post pics when I am done
