3.4 exhaust manifolds on 3.0 heads?

Aren't the 3.4 exhaust manifolds interchangable with the 3.0. I, can't remember if they will work on the 3.0?

Anyone?

Pics would be GReat, if you could post or email them I, would apreciate it.

How well do they line up with the ports and the studs, any problems mounting?

If the 3.4 exhaust manifolds will work on the 3.0, let me know because I think I will blow my load. They are a much improved design over the 3.0.

A friend who is a Toyota mechanic tried the 3.4 exhaust on the 3.0 and it would not fit. That would have solved a lot of problems if it would have worked.

5vze manifolds wont work on a 3vz-e heads vise-versa. The 5vzfe have off set bolt pattern while the 3vz-e manifolds have a verticle pattern.

Sorry to revive this old thread. Has anyone tried modifying 3.4 headers to fit a 3.0? If the ports line up could you just re-drill the flanges or something? 3.4 headers are just easier and cheaper to find so it'd be cool to be able to adapt them.

EDIT: What about 3.4 heads onto a 3.0 block? Maybe possible cause you can drop a 20R head on a 22R block, so maybe they keep the heads similar in the V6 family.
