Is it OK to let truck sit w/o any coolant?

I'm in the early stages of tearing into my 85, grinding rust off the frame mostly. Decided to pressure wash it sat & caused a leak in one of the very rusty coolant lines that runs to the rear heater. This started leaking & I ended up just draining all the coolant. Am I going to run into issues if I let it sit like this for a while (few months maybe?) I will have to run all new lines at some point, but it's not really a priority unless I run the risk of internal corrosion by leaving it empty.

Thanks!

Also wondering if anyone else has had to replace these lines to the rear heater? Toyota replacement is kinda $$$, wondering if I can replace with some sort of high temp soft tubing, or copper, or... They route right about the exhaust heat sheilds so i'm sure they get warm. May just cap them off at the radiator for now.

Ideas?

you can probably use copper lines in the areas here its close to the higher heat and for straight runs then use flxible hose where it couples to something....

you can let it sit without coolant... however, if there was electrolysis before, the sitting air might make stuff rust.. if there was coolant present, no rust would occur because of the lack of air
