2nd gen 4runner front speakers

2nd gen 4runner front speakers

im looking into putting in new speakers in the front of my Gen. 2 4runner but i dont know what size they are. Does anyone know what size they are?

They are 4" I believe. At least in my '91. You can tweak the speaker boxes to fit 5.25's I think. (Which is what I wish I had done...)

4" in front, 5.25" in back

The fronts actually mount into little ported boxes, but there is still NO low end with the factory setup. Images surprisingly well, though.

Options are put something in the doors, or QForms kick panels available on Crutchfield.

Yeah in my 90, they're 4" in the front and they went in with no problems! I tired to put 5.25" in the back and they were too big, so I went with 4" and they went in no problems! Good luck!!

Well yea the bass went down a bit in the back but the 2 12" Kickers made up for it!

how did you mount them? or did you just put a big sub box in the rear?
