Mine tips the scales at 4980lbs with me and a full tank of gas...

I do have at least 500lbs of stereo back there however...

not to hi-jack--but a second gen weighs 5000 lbs?? Damn--i always thought it was closer to 3800 lbs. The 5vzfe weighs as much as an aluminum LSX series motor (460-500lbs fully dressed).

I wonder what my third gen weighs?

 

Lol. My '93 single cab weighed about 3800lbs.....

 

Yeah--that is funny. I need to drive it over the scales sometime and see whay I weigh with 35's amd etc....

 

and P.S.--yes the lower end of these motors are stout--it seems the heads are the area where only so much can be taken off before they are no good.
