I picked one up for my '85. Took about a week for them to ship the part but then it arrived in 2 days. Just got the mast swapped out this evening. Not sure if the 1st gens are different, but it doesn't come out like the instructions say. Hopefully will do a web page on the install.

I'm doing away with my electric motor (even though it works) and putting a normal antenna on that i bought from this guy: http://cgi.ebay.com/Antenna-Toyota-P...QQcmdZViewItem
Fits 1st and 2nd gen 4runners.
He has been selling them for months and ships fast.

Just got done fixing mine the other day:

Works very well. I also added an amplifier for the antenna that I powered off the radio's power antenna output, which is unused with the SR-5 power antenna.
