Devil's Ditch, VA 9-17-05

Headed west today towards MAdison County. It was just my buddy Alen (Disco) and me. Neither one of us had been there before and weren't really sure what to except.
Stock truck can make it up the roads on the mountain, but you need some ground clearance and some decent AT tires to enjoy all the trails that intertwine on the mountain.

Devil's Ditch is an acces road for hunters that merges with the Shenandoah National Forest.

We got caught in a huge random downpour for about thrity minutes. This was while we were at the top of a dead-end trail on the face of a burly hill.
Some pics, nothing grand, but fun. The pics don't really do the terrain justice as there were plenty of off camber spots, deep water holes and rocks. At one point both of us had our front bumpers comletely submerged. Got through it with no problem

Sweet, wish I'd known so I could have taken joined you. Where exactly is that area & Madison county?

I have to say that I am VERY impressed with it. He has the center locing diff, rear locker, traction control, hill decent, SFA, extended lower trailing arms, good gearing.
He is running full OME w/ 265/75/16 Revos. Good, solid ride. That is all I can say. I haven't owned one and won't, but I like his

visit www.discoweb.org

almost every disco on that site has one. they arent only big but they are super expensive.

I bet his could do quite a bit with that rear locker. i've been with a few and they were pretty good with the cdl let alone a locker.

looks like fun!

It is off 29 about 25 miles North of Charlottesville. It was pretty much a last minute thing. I just HAD to get out. I needed a break and this was it.

Yes, next weeknd is on and bring the BII. It should be beautiful and have I mentioned I need a break (again)
