T-100 2wd Suspension Vs. 4wd?

Would anyone be able to confirm the 2wd T-100's have the same upper a-arms as the 4wd's?

Thanks,

Frank

I looked this up at the dealer and the a-arms (upper control arms) are different. They have different part numbers and are different physically as well. The difference is in the area where the 4 ball joint studs mount to the a-arm. On a 2WD a-arm there is an open slot from the hole between the 4 stud mounting holes (the opening is circular between the 4 stud mounting holes and extends out to an open slot at the edge of the a-arm). On a 4x4 a-arm there is a hole between the ball joint stud mounting holes and the edge of the a-arm is solid (no open slot). I hope this makes sense. It is much easier to see in a picture and I think some of the Haynes manuals have pics showing this. I believe the reasoning is that the 4x4 a-arm is subjected to greater stress and needs the edge reinforcement for strength.
