Tjm-13 Bumper On My 2nd Gen With Pics!

I recently got this bumper second hand from Patrick, (Cowtowntoy) and installed it a few days ago. Install was easy, and helping Pat take it off his 4Runner made everything even easier. I had to de-rust it though. Some minor areas and alot of the back side had rust, thats Ohio for ya'. POR-15 and then a full front and back Rustolium treatment got it looking like new. I topped it off with some Hella 500 driving beam lights. Now I'm in the market for a winch, at last.

I recomend an off road bumper to anyone, these things are solid as a rock, look awsome, and havent become a lame vehicle fassion statement like my old brush guard was. Do you like the looks of it?

I didnt know a T-13 would fit on a 2nd gen. TJMs website dont show it listed so i assume that stoped making them? Anyway it looks good.

I think 4x4connection still has the TJM-13 for second gens. More or less i thought I would never be able to afford a bull bar but I only paid $400 for it, and no shipping (local pickup).

Bob, is there a reason you perfer the TJM-13 over the ARB, they look almost identical?

Chris, trust me, you don't want my truck. It looks cool and wheels good but stuff braks all the time, it sucks. Plus its kinda rusty.

I would say the vertical impact rails, and the more solid, less tube'like design make the 13 stronger. But mostly,I'm assuming the mounting bracket is identical with both. TJMs website does blow. I just perfer the looks mostly.

It sure is, made it myself too.

I don't have to worry about the snow plow busting off mirrors, or even having a place to park if my neighbors a throwing a party or something too.

Meh, Stuffs always breaking on mine too. Wouldn't be much of a difference.

Although, shortly I hope to be adding either a TJM or something anyway to protect the front end a little more.

One thing you can do to make you T13 look even better, add some clear indicators....made a huge difference to the look of mine....I also got 100mm spotlights recessed into it too!!!

Nice runner by the way

twisty_toy94, I love the 100mm spots in the bumper. That's hot! Gotta add those to my ARB. Nice looking truck. Do you have an auto or a manual trans mated up to the Lexus V8? Cebby is doing the same motor transplant into an auto and I want to do it to my 5-speed.

Lamm, bumper looks great, I agree they are a great addition. If you need a roller fairlead, let me know, I have a Superwinch fairlead that didn't fit the bolt holes on my ARB. Maybe it will fit your TJM.

They list on T-13 for the 96-98
and (2) for T-13 for the 99+

Yeah, I love the look the lights gave to the bar, it really modernizes the look of it.

I'm using the std. R150F manual...and its holding up really well. Its an awesome transplant...the 4runner is a dream to drive now!!
