antenna broke

I broke the antenna off my 02 tacoma and the screw part of the whip is still in the piece on the truck. Any way to get that out or does the whole thing have to be replaced back to the radio. I hate doing stupid stuff !!!! I did unscrew the nut on top and take the piece off the fender but that did not help. Any ideas.

Thanks
Shawn

I did the same thing a few months ago on my 98... I carefully used a small drill bit and drilled it into the center of where the antenna broke off and it went in a little ways until it caught traction on the broken screw and the thing came right out...

With the epoxy idea... it sounds like that would work too but just be carefull to keep the epoxy off the threads or else you might really have to replace the whole unit...

Thanks guys I will give that a try. The epoxy sounds like it would work but I think i'll try the drill first.

Thanks and have a good one!

I have a brand new OEM Taco antenna (silver) that I would let go for cheap. Let me know. I think it's still in the original packaging.

The drill bit worked great thanks for the tip. Drilled a little hole and the thing came right out. 96 runner thanks for the offer but I would rather have a black one but I will keep you in mind.

Thanks

Just thought I would update this. The dealer wanted $42.00 for an antenna , no wonder they call them a steeler. But anyway I left there and went to Advance auto and got one for $10.00 bucks its a universal fit, it looks the same but it a little thicker. Good enough for me and I can buy three more there for the price of one at the dealer.

Have a good one everybody
thanks
