'85s are overrated, and now overpriced since everyone wants one.

his lsiting says its tthe only year toyota had a solid axle in the runners... wrong... the 84 runners had solid axles too.... if you are going to make claims, you have to at least be smarter than a potential buyer....

the reason they're so special is they are the last year of the solid front axle and the first year of the 22re.

it does say that it was the only year toyotat put a SA in that model (i assume to mean w/ the 22re) In that case, it is the only year for a SA and FI

it's a nice combo, guess people just think its worth that much more then adapting another year to it.

i'd rather do an SAS on a later model truck than convert an earlier model to fuel injection and swap in the wider rear axle, convert to crossover steering and redo the front spring hangers.

then again, my stock truck performs pretty well. next step is new springs and crossover...

i just picked up an 85 pick up for 200 today! no motor and tranny but thats ok i have a 22r to put in and will just propane it. its gonna be prokject cheap! i am thinking i will have under 1000 in it since i have alot of spare stuff laying around. including some 36''tsls. i got to have a local beater cause trailering the buggy is a pita for local stuff. anyway i like 85's cause bam your done!
