Seeking 1st gen supercharger pulley and key.

I have a friend that has a 1st gen supercharger. The pulley and key-way has been damaged ( god knows how ). No damage to the shaft of the charger. TRD does not offer replacement parts. Anyone have an old junk 1st gen charger that would be willing to part with the pulley and keyway?

Thanks for your help.

Jay , we have one at our shop. I'll check Tuesday to see if they would be willing to sell parts off of it. I know its still a good S/C. Whats a key weigh?

That would be very kind of ya.

Does anyone have a link to someone that offers aftermarket pulleys? Perhaps they sell keyways too?

Jay,

Check out Magnuson . They are the guys who built the blower. They are nice folks and I have found them to be very helpful.

Nose drive

Hey Jay,

I had the same thing happen to my 1st Gen S/C. I started hearing a rattle and it turned out the key or pulley (I never took it off to see which) was worn/ broke/ bad whatever.

How many miles are on the S/C? Reason I ask, is that Magnuson says they are good for about 60,000 miles. I had about 70,000 so I replaced the whole nose drive assy. It's a $300 part, but may be worth it in the long run.

Also, if you haven't tried the link for Magnuson, I think they would be your best bet.

Mike

PS- Check out my thread on the nose drive replacement and you'll see how I did it without removing the S/C. If anything, it'll save you a little time.
