The best Toyota magazine is Toyota trails. You get it free if your a member of the Toyota Land Cruiser Association www.tlca.org

Of course there has been a Toyota-only magazine (Toyota Trails) published by TLCA for many years:

If anyone wants a copy, send me an e-mail. $2.50 should cover postage.

Hello from 4WD Toyota Owner Magazine

Hello to everyone on YotaTech from 4WD Toyota Owner magazine!

Wanted to introduce myself and the magazine. We are an independent publication, not tied to Toyota, but we will be working with them often, of course. We are NOT a corporate monster looking to kill Trails. There's definitely room for both--I respect Trails very much! Unfortunately, 4WD Toyota Owner won't cover the Echo--unless someone converts one to four wheel drive!

4WD Toyota Owner will cover all 4x4 Toyota models. It won't have "This product was easy and great and wow you should buy one!" articles. The Toyota audience is at least as savvy and probably more so than the big Primedia/Petersen mags realize.

I'll be covering the TakeOver in Paragon, PA this year for the premiere issue, so I hope to see you there and get personal feedback.

If you are at all interested in seeing this 4WD Toyota Owner magazine, please visit

http://www.4wdtoyotaowner.com

and sign up for the email list. It will be for news updates (already sent one out), giveaways, subscription info, and more. Please tell your local club members, forums and the like as well.

Thank you all very much, and I would welcome comments or questions, either here or at info@4WDtoyotaowner.com

Cheers,

David Zartman

distribution

Hi Lee,

it will have national distribution to stores, newstands and bookstores, and of course, to-your-door subscriptions. Where it ends up at first is hard to say, Barnes and Noble have to review it and decide themselves, for example. But it will be out there in number!

I'm working on international, that's harder. But there will be reasonable international subscriptions too!

Thanks for the question! Cheers,

Dave

Cool

Good luck, it ain't easy starting up a new mag.

I watched a new Porsche magazine startup and boy, did they get shot down many times in the first year for typo, quality of articles, distribution etc, but they weathered the storm.

I hope this works out for you (and us!).

It's definitely a lot of work, but well worth it. I hear you on the typos, etc, and I'm a big stickler for that being right. But, undoubtedly a few will slip through. Speaking of mistakes, someone at toyota-4runner.org thinks the FJ on the main page is a Jeep!
