Would love to fix this myself if I can...

I have an 88' automatic longbed toy and that has started to make a fast, light, intermittent clicking noise under dash. The sound does not change frequency but does change in its speed. I am guessing it is a solenoid.

Tonight I noticed something new.... I got on the freeway for the first time since the clicking started and I noticed that when I have reached cruzing speed at 45-55 it slows down or hesitates for just a moment and then returns to normal without me changing pressure on the gas pedal.

Could my noise and speed issue be related?

Witch side of the dash does the sound come from? Does it affect the performance of the motor?
