Need to buy image software. Recommendations?
This is in regard to: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f5/no-traffic-other-boards-so-i-need-quick-answer-about-upload-times-53881/
I need to buy some photo editing software anyway. So what about something like http://www001.staples.com/Catalog/Br...gital++Imaging
Also, Are there any programs in existence where I can host pictures to YT from my computer? Kind of like the Photobucket and Vendio. I would rather do it from my computer and not rely on some free website. It's no sweat off my back to go and buy something, but I don't need some $400 photo editing software. I just need simple basic where I can touch up pics and have sizing options and a little light editing.

man, download the gimp for free & try it out. It all I use. The interface is a little different & takes a little getting used to, but it's more powerful than most of the other photo editing suites i've used. www.gimp.org
You CAN set up your home PC as a server, but what is your upload speed? if you have DSL or cable it's probably only 256k, would make for slow loading for us most likely. I know my ISP blocks port 80 to keep me from easily setting up a webserver, yours may do something similar.

Personally, my favourite is Adobe Photoshop.. in regards to file size, when you 'export to web' with PS, your usually around 20-50kb in size. Lots of great features, easy to use.. highly recommend.

I also really like Adobe Photoshop, I like it so much I havent even considered using anything else. So my opinion is bias...
You can EASILY setup on an ftp to host pics, but since its a file transfer protocol it wont be able to show pics but it will give you a link.... ex. ftp://cynicx.myftp.org/022705/Rock.JPG that link is from my ftp on my machine.... but using [img] stuff wont work.....
you can setup apache webserver but thats more complicated..and less secure....

all the photoshops are pretty similar, just refined features in the later ones.. i use 7.0.. but say you can get a copy of 6.0 for $20, and you are REALLY against pirating 7.0. id just get the 6.
also, im willing to host pictures if anyone needs that done.
