Red or Yellow Optima?

Well the the previous owner of the my Yota sold me a truck witha crappy battery (among other things) I really like the Optimas. The question is, I cannot decide between the Red or Yellow. I don't have a winch or anything like that. Yet I wan't the best that is out there.

So what is the best?

Thanks.

For my 3rd Gen..Red Top Model 34R.

Summit Racing has 'em for $115.39 + $8.95 SH = $124.34

Part Number: ULT-9003-151

Go with the red unless you run a lot of extra stuff with the engine turned off. I run the blue (deep cycle like the yellow), but I like to be able to run the winch, refrigerator, and stereo system with the engine off.

The red doesn't like to be run down, the yellow and blue like to be run down.

The red has more cold cranking amps. The yellow is a deep cycle.

I've been running a red for four years now and never had had any issues when winching, using the stereo amp, etc. I never winch w/o running the engine though...

Yeah as long as your engine is running, your alternator is running your stuff. Assuming of course your alternator is up to par.

I just installed a yellow in my Runner. It's the 750DU. No spacers needed. No adaptors. Just dropped right in. Used the stock battery tie down.
