I ordered my shocks last night...what a deal!!

I ordered my Edelbrock shocks last night. All the way around $264 shipped to my door. I actually got the shocks for $59 each. I thought that was a pretty darn good deal.

Now does anyone what my Doetsch Tech Pre runner rear shocks? They're only a few months old? How's $50?

2nd or 3rd Gen? I paid $55 a piece for my Bils but they are cheaper for a 2nd Gen than a third

They're for a 2nd Gen. I know the Billies are cheaper, but I've heard some say they're too rough for them. The Edelbrocks came with a 30 day money back guarantee, so I thought $4 extra a shock how can I go wrong. And If I hate them they'll go back.
Plus Corey has them, and he loves them, so I thought I'd give them a shot.

I am curious about one thing though. My current shocks are 2 inches longer. Will this take away from my lift. I have Downeys, and got 2 inches out of them. I hate to loose any height.

Shocks have NOTHING to do with Lift. Springs are what raises or lowers the vehicle. Shorter shocks would limit articulation if they are too short vs the spring length.

Hope this helps.

Dr Z thanks for clearing that up in a simply stated way. This seems to be a common myth lately. The only way your going to notice shorter shocks is if your out doing full travel flexes on a daily basis and I bet even then your sway bar will limit your travel much more than your shocks ever. Let us know how you like the Edelbrocks! It's nice to see someone get off the bandwagon and go with another brand. I got sucked in for the Billies.. Happy with em so far though so it's all good.

JSB, I think you will be very happy with the Edel's.

That is about the same price I paid for mine from Perf a few years ago.

When I bought mine back then, they were not on sale and they were going for the normal $79 or so.
I told the guy on the tele I did not want to pay that much, and he gave me the deal.

This was when there was no sale going on either.
More often than not, they will work with you on getting a deal.
